I am a main stream conservative. I believe in adherence to the U. S. Constitution, and a sound moral code. The truth is neither political party (Those elected to represent us) has paid much attention to either the moral code or our constitution. I do believe the platform of the Republican party most clearly mirrors my own values, but I don't think those elected have kept the mandates given to them by the voters. Greed and lust for power have overtaken the administration of government throughout the years. Young politicians wishing to change the status quo have been crushed and silenced by the firmly entrenched power brokers. I do not offer the excerpts from this essay to support the Democrat Party which in my opinion has become rank from the rottenness at its core. I only want to give guidance to those who call to ask for my financial support. I am tired of supporting hollow rhetoric only to be given excuses for non-performance and bigger government. Let's see what the Republicans have done in recent years. This piece is entitled, "What Republican Revolution?", and was written by Laurence M. Vance.
