Madam Speaker

I can think of several people in our federal government who need to resign right away, but I know this isn't going to happen. One of the first that comes to mind is Nancy Pelosi. I wrote her a little e-note this morning just to let her know how much I don't admire her. Here is the note:

Dear Madam Speaker,
I don't think I have ever had as little respect for a Speaker of the House of Representatives as I do now. Your excesses in personal spending using tax payer dollars are reprehensible. Your over the top trip to Copenhagen is just one example of just how out of touch you are with the American voters. I'm not talking about the ignorant masses of welfare addicts, illegal aliens, and union zombies who are bussed to the polls to vote as they are told, I'm talking about the large numbers of thinking Americans in both parties who realize what a mistake was made in November of 2008. You and your sycophants in the socialist left of the Democrat Party had better wake up. America doesn't want government anything. We know what is wrong with health care and we want the government to get out of the way so we can fix it. Climate change is inevitable and no amount of tax dollars or globalist intervention will alter its natural course one iota. A strong defense force, and intelligence agencies with real clout need to operate without the interference of politicians like you. You obviously don't have a clue how to keep this great nation of ours safe. Enemy combatants need to be handled by the military and not afforded the privilege of the legal protection offered our own citizens. You come from a state that is in fiscal ruin. You come from an area of that state that is in serious moral decline and yet you have the audacity to act like you have something to offer hard working, tax paying Americans. I heard your haughty remarks after the resounding rejection of the ridiculous bills from both the House and Senate by the voters. You hubris is unequaled. You work for us Madam Speaker. You would do well to remember that. Sincerely, Pappy

My list is not limited to Democrats although they do make up a majority of the names included thus far. I didn't mention anything on the millions of ILLEGAL ALIENS in our Country at the present time who are taking jobs and using up social resources at an alarming rate. Someone sent me this little story of the two Joes, and while it might not be entirely accurate it does hit some of the salient points to consider.

JOE LEGAL vs. JOSE ILLEGAL

You have two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal".
Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California .

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Ready? Now pay attention......

Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has
$31,231.00.

Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has
$31,200...00.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legal now
has $24,031.00.

Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per
year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $9,631.00.

Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays out that $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $ 31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal now has $7,231.00.

Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get
a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Do you get it, now?

If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens......

You are part of the problem!

It's way PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans!

Be sure to write your representatives and let them know that they work for you.

Two Minutes was Enough

I just can't watch the guy. My fraud meter rings so loudly as soon as I see him, I can't stick around for what he says. This morning our news rag headline read, "I won't quit." It reminded me of Richard Nixon's famous line, "I am not a crook." Shortly thereafter, Nixon resigned. I can only hope the same is true for Mr. Obama. We can't afford one more day of this empty suit. If some ranking politico doesn't use all resources available to get Obama's background information released, we need to create such a stir none of them can rest.

The democrats are fighting amongst themselves, but their talking heads are doing the usual diversionary dance to cause us to look at what's in this hand and forget what they have in the other hand. What they have in the other hand is the same old socialist garbage they've always had. They won't change. In the short two minutes toward the end of the speech, I heard all I needed to. I grabbed my temples and screamed for Bebe to change the channel. I have a very short tolerance for lying, denying, and making counter allegations. I also can't stand looking at the stretched and botoxed face of Nancy Pelosi bobbing up and down in the background, or the canned phony smile of Lyin' Joe Biden waiting for his cue to stand and clap. I noticed many in the audience who didn't seem to buy the teleprompted narcisisstic narration of the "Pied Piper of Chicago". Only the usual party line sycophants were doing the Pelosi bounce on her cue. I am hopeful we can eliminate many of the go along to get along rubber stamps in both parties. We need leadership in our nation and Obama doesn't have the ability to deliver.

We need to gather our tax money from all sectors and apply what's left to the National Debt. We also need to freeze hiring and phase out all non-constitutional bureaus and programs. If we could get the government back into its Constitutional bounds, then we could afford massive tax cuts and get the economy re-started. Our skinny little pretender will never be able to get it done. I just don't see the intelligence many of the pundits talk about. I personally think I could make straight A's at Harvard if he made it to President of the Law Review. We need to expose the lie. We've elected a cardboard cutout for President and we're in a major free fall.

State of the Union

Are you curious about the State of the Union Address? Maybe we should rename it the State of the Unions. I'm sure we have heard it before. I'm going to defer to Dr. Charles Krauthammer, a frequent commenter on the Fox News Network. These excerpts are paraphrased comments from a recent speech. I hope it will help you see past the teleprompter and hear the real message.

Dr. Krauthammer is on Fox News. He is an M.D. (psychiatrist) and a lawyer
and is paralyzed from the neck down.

Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington
to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including
dismantling capitalism. He can't be straightforward on his ambitions, as
the public would not go along.

He has a heavy hand, and wants to level the playing field with income
redistribution and punishment to the achievers of society. He would like to
model the USA to Great Britain or Canada .

His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, and
NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government. He doesn't care about the
auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early bonus. The
cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle growth. Paying for
FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is his healthcare program,
because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000 people to a Medicare-type
single-payer system, the costs will go through the roof. The only way to
control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada . God
forbid!

Obama is not a socialist; rather he's a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch what he does,
not what he says.

Obama doesn't really see himself as President of the United States , but
more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all, trying to
orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany and England was a prime example of how he sees America , as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation
that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!

He is now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will
not come due until after he is reelected in 2012. He would like to blame
all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the
future. He has a huge ego, and Dr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist.

It's better to be paralyzed from the neck down, than to be paralyzed from
the neck up... Dr. Charles Krauthammer

Mr. Goodwrench

He's out to solve all our problems. Prior to taking office he was coached for six months by a host of other would be mechanics about the process for "Fixin' Gov'ment". "You just go in there and get your hands dirty, we'll be right there to bail you out." It seems bailing people out is the order of the day. Print some more money so we can bail out this or that entity. You can bail out a boat to keep it from sinking, but unless you fix the hole in the hull, it will just fill right back up with water. Obama's not good at fixing holes in the hull. In fact he keeps punching bigger and bigger holes in the hull of our great Ship of State. He and his pinheaded appointees, like attorney general Eric Holder, are really good at tearing things down. We really need someone in the office who has a grasp of how to fix things. I've heard many who try and advise him, but apparently he isn't in a listening mood right now. He says he is afraid his message has been lost because he has been so busy with the "Crisis of the Minute" program that he hasn't had time to speak to the people enough. I was of the opinion Obama's teleprompted appearances before the American public were in the "over the top" range. His main problem is not knowing a Golden Delicious from a Horse Apple.

I for one opt to have him leave me alone. He's talking about adding give aways to the middle class to solve their current economic plight. We didn't work hard all those years to get to the middle class just to have you wreck our lives for us. I say gather up all the money you have earmarked for illegal give aways in all sectors (and that includes Nebraska and Louisiana) and immediately apply it to the national debt. Let those who are failing, fail. Others will take their place, or they will trim the fat and get back in the game.

Get our financial affairs back in the black before sending one penny outside the United States. We have soldiers fighting in the middle east, support them fully until the job is finished and the war is won. Don't enact anymore legislation designed to alter the social conditions in this country, or the climate conditions of the world. We can't alter the climate conditions at all, they are out of the purview of human intervention. The social conditions are not in the permitted legislative allowances of the U. S. Constitution. These are reserved for the states. Let each state stand on its own. Do not involve the Federal Government in any form of labor relations. If a workforce wants to have a union, then those who want to join should be allowed to do so. However, if anyone wants to work without participating in the union they should have the freedom to do so without being harassed. The Organized Crime leadership in current labor unions should be cleaned out, and paid union thugs should be rounded up and prosecuted. These people have no legitimate role in the elective process and should be banned from any further participation.

If I knew for a minute Obama would announce his retirement from office in the speech tonight, I would watch. I'm going to be busy preparing a list of RHINOS (Republicans in name only) like McCain, Snowe, Hutchinson, etc. and adding them to the list of Rubber Stamp Democrats, like those from my district here in Texas, who I'll pay money to get run out of office. I'll take my governmental mechanic work to some proven independent shop where I know taking pride in a job done right is the motivating principle. Mr. Obama, your job is done here. It's time to click the heels of your red slippers together and head back to where every you came from.

I look to the future because that's where I'm going to spend the rest of my life.

Using Your Talent

I was sitting around this morning just admiring my latest body job, and I thought how nice it is to have enough talent to do jobs yourself. Who wants to hire professionals when, with a few basic tools, you can do the job and save tons of money? Bebe will have to get in and out on the driver's side, but I don't think she'll mind when she finds out how little it cost.

Wish our government could be as frugal. It amazes me when politicians claiming to be Republican can only maintain their position on conservative issues and values for minutes after a victory. We have Kay Bailey Hutchison coming back to Texas after 17 or so years in Washington, D.C. and talking bad about the job our current governor Rick Perry has done. In addition she is calling for term limits. Where were you Kay for the last seventeen years? Your most recent vote with the turncoats in the Senate concerning the Health Care Bill shows where you stand/don't stand. We don't need you in Texas. Rick is doing just fine without you. Just retire and move to San Francisco or Las Vegas.

And what's with the new strong talking RINO (Republican in name only) McCain? He's strong until presented with the opportunity to reach across the isle and give away his conservative leanings in order to be seen as bi-partisan. Bi-partisan to a Democrat means you either vote like me or I'll have some Union thug bust your knee caps. What bi-partisan should mean is, right thinking statesmen fighting for what they think is right and making sure no underhanded pork barrel dealings come into the mix. Then they should get together and make sure they are allowed by the U. S. Constitution to do what they are doing. After that they should have a legal and decent bill. Everyone is now touting the Massachusetts comprehensive Health Care Model, but very little is known about it because it hasn't been in existence long enough to evaluate properly. Health Care is outside the scope of what the Federal Government is allowed to do, and therefore falls to the various States to act on or not as they see fit. If your State wants to march down the socialist isle, let the voters decide. Not all States are obligated to follow suit. If you are a Republican and desire to stay in office, you should be fighting the battle to return to the U. S. Constitution and not proposing your own form of illegal legislation. I heard Sarah Palin touting McCain and his insipidity in an interview the other day. I say forget Palin. We need people willing to stand for what they say in spite of any criticism they might receive. Those of us who are tired of the current way of doing things in Washington could use the powerful infrastructure of the Republican political machine. However, we have the message and the Republican Party is dead if they don't get on board with us.

King Obama is naked just as I said before he was elected. The imaginary robe that Gibbs, Axelrod and others are trying to get us to believe he has on, just isn't there. He is, I believe, the most unqualified president in recent history. Not only in the sense of preparedness, but also in a legal sense. I say if any money still exists from TARP, or any of the other failed bailouts, it should be immediately applied to debt reduction. The Democrats can blame the Republicans for eight years of continued government spending and growth under the Bush administration, and they would be right. However, they controlled the legislature where these illegal pork ladened bills were spawned, and they had the leaders in control of the failing socialist give away programs of Democrats from years past. So, although the Republicans caved on their principals of fiscal and social conservatism, they maintained our integrity through a strong defense and foreign policy. Our enemies were afraid to act, and we were returning our intelligence gathering efforts to an acceptable level once again. Now, all that is gone. THE REAL BLAME FOR OUR CURRENT SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS CAN BE LAID SQUARELY AT THE DOOR STEP OF SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS SINCE WOODROW WILSON. We have been sold to our enemies for a bowl of porridge. We must immediately expose and get rid of all those interlopers who are trying to bring about our slavery to a globalist/socialist society and get rid of the weaklings who won't represent our interests properly.

The only thing that overcomes hard luck is hard work.

Time to pull the plug.

What is it about, "The Stimulus is not working Mr. President", he doesn't understand? The political cartoonists are getting the big picture, but our legislature, judges, and president don't seem to comprehend. The bailouts and the subsequent stimulus package were cover-ups for politically and socially correct failed government programs designed allegedly to benefit the less fortunate. Did the less fortunate benefit? No! When the bill is due it still has to be paid. Well then who benefited? The politicians who bought votes from those who still think you can get something for nothing. They gained in power and they made the uninformed voting base more dependent on government to fix all of their problems. The government was never intended to help people raise their social and economic status by giving them taxpayer funds and borrowed dollars. The government was designed to create a safe haven for people to seek their own advantage by hard work and responsible behavior. It was also tasked with keeping the operation of commerce between the various states flowing smoothly, and creating a uniform currency to do the job. It was allowed the privilege of taxing the entire population to maintain the funds necessary to do the job. That's it folks.
The "commerce clause" of the United States Constitution has been stretched beyond recognition by the socialists and globalists who would continue to push their power keeping agenda until this great ship of state sinks beneath the briny waters. What happened to taking care of your own business? The idea that all people are created equal socially, economically, physically, and mentally is a myth sold to the undereducated masses in our country by these same self-serving politicians. Those of us who have worked hard for what we have, know it just isn't true. The great collector of wisdom, Solomon, also laid it out for us in the Bible. According to the statement in our Declaration of Independence, (and I paraphrase) we are created equal (as far as the law is concerned) and free to pursue our fortunes and enjoy the happiness available in these efforts. It further states these rights are endowed by our Creator and not the Federal Government. Do you know anyone who is more physically gifted than you? How about smarter than you? These questions could continue for several more pages. The fact is we are all different and we must live with the cards we've been dealt. However, we are all free to make advances to a better life by playing our hand smartly. Think about it. If everyone is given the same set of winning cards by the government, then no one wins because there is no game.
The corruption in our system has become so rife we can't even have conversations anymore without apologizing to every socio/political grouping to whom the government has granted special privilege over the rest of us. Our government is currently running rough shod over the U. S. Constitution and the established rules of order and procedure, and very few of those elected seem to have the courage to band together and yell, "STOP!" Look at this abysmal conglomeration of proposed legislation concocted by social architects in direct violation of the constraints of our Constitution. It is being brewed up in secret covens by the leaders of special interests, to benefit those who profit from the collective dependence of the masses. IT IS ILLEGAL, but the politicized courts do nothing. A goodly number of our judges are political hacks who are part of the "paid off to put out" whoredom in charge of saying what the people who paid them off can do. Many of these judges are there on a lifetime appointment. Vote buying is the order of the day, and when the votes can't be bought, Union thugs are used to discourage voting by the opposition. Statements made as fact by politicians are cast about with no verification because the media are zombies. Those reporters who dare print and broadcast the truth are vilified and persecuted by the various tentacles of the all powerful government run amok.

It is time for the heartland to be energized like never before. These interlopers who have taken over our government are not in the majority. They have a large number of supporters in the less than fully educated, and educated beyond the point of sound reason camps, but not a majority. Those who have been silently discouraged need to sound off and vote. We must vote as a block and not weaken our effectiveness by becoming single issue off shoots. Showing up and sounding off in large numbers is a good thing. It discourages the hired thugs who attack the weak and defenseless. We can take this country back by thoroughly cleaning out the putrid infection in Washington, D.C., but we must act soon. All of our actions must be accompanied by prayer. We need divine help for an undertaking of this magnitude.

Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does the better.

He walked away.

No fanfare accompanied his passing this last Christmas Eve, but a good man joined his maker. It came as a shock to many of us when the news came. We knew the virus that attacked his heart in 1997 had reduced its capacity to function, but I'm sure, like me, few considered how serious it really was. Robert Alley was the Resident Agent in Charge of the Corpus Christi office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms when he was forced into retirement because of his medical problems. He was my friend and I will miss him.

Robert Alley, Danny Carpenter, Richard Inman and I all started work with the Bureau in the early 70's in Tyler, Texas. We were the young guys. The older agents were mostly interested in finding and destroying whiskey stills in the woods of North East Texas. We were the ones who cut our teeth on the newly revamped statutes of the 1968 Gun Control Act. We worked together for about five years before the fortunes of government service saw us all transferred to duty stations far apart. Richard Inman was the first to go, dying in an automobile accident. We all attended the funeral and it was just like no time had passed. Bob was the office historian and story teller and he kept us on track as we recalled all of the fun times we had during those early years.

Danny and I worked together again in the lower Rio Grande Valley late in our careers. We called and talked with Bob on occasion and once or twice we visited. It could have been more, but the press of our lives seemed to sweep us along as the years passed. Bob was a true friend. He was a man of his word and he valued those early days when we struggled to get started. Our wives also grew to know each other and all our reunions were pleasant ones.

A couple of weeks ago we attended Bob's memorial service. A collage of pictures scrolled across the screen set up in the chapel, taking us on a trip through his life. So many good memories. We had a good visit with Bob's wife Linda and made promises to be more diligent in staying in touch. Danny and Jean attended, along with Barbara and I and one former supervisor. But I was disappointed to see how few of the colleagues Bob touched during his working life showed up at the memorial. I did pretty good until the music started and, like it often does, upset my face. I had to reach for my handkerchief.

Sometimes those of us who carried the badge and enforced some unpopular laws were maligned in the press, but I worked with many who were not only good family men, but capable professionals. Bob Alley was one of the good guys. I offer this brief tribute to a man who deserved it. You will be missed. This poem was printed on his remembrance card

In Loving Memory, Robert Alley,

When I am dead
Cry for me a little
Think of me sometimes
But not too much.
Think of me now and again
As I was in life
At some moments it's
pleasant to recall
But not for long.
Leave me in peace
And I shall leave you in peace
And while you live
Let your thoughts be with the living.

Sometimes I want to scream.

Don't politicians and bureaucrats just make you want to scream. They are undoubtedly the largest group of overindulged kids on the face of the planet. Each takes a position of moral superiority when they feel there may be a political advantage to be gained. I have been so sickened by the totality of their small minded antics of late, I've had trouble focusing my ranting efforts on just one subject.

Who created the racial problems we have in this country today? Who is perpetuating them? I would offer that politicians have been behind the problem all along. Their meddling in the difficult problems of our nation have always resulted in more problems than they solve. Free people left to work out their own problems usually do so in a much more equitable fashion. Had racial matters been left to work themselves out in the natural order of things they would have. I contend we would have been much closer to a peaceful and equitable solution than we are now. Those who work hard and contribute rarely find it necessary to categorize anyone based on their racial or ethnic origins. Isn't it the government that continues to make us check a specific box on every form we are required to fill out? Isn't it the government (Inside the Beltway) that legislates unfair advantages for groups based on these categories? Yes, and Yes in case you were having trouble answering those questions.

The truth is, neither the words of Trent Lott, or Harry Reid were worth a second thought or further discussion. I didn't hear anything in either statement that in anyway demeaned anyone. It was those bent on gaining political advantage in every situation that raised the cry and called for an apology. All politicians have much to apologize to the American people for, but the the statements being compared in this recent non-incident are not on the list. I detest the politics of Harry Reid and Barack Hussein Obama, but not for who they are genetically. I believe most thinking Americans are of the same mind.

I would love to hear someone announced for office without having a class qualifier attached to their name. I would prefer to hear their outstanding qualifications to hold office. Character, intelligence, and enthusiasm are much more important.

Politicians are rarely the same people behind closed doors that they are with the public. Most ordinary people wouldn't like them if they really knew them. I would like for them to stop the illegal legislative efforts that will ruin our economy and our country. If politicians would concentrate on what the U. S. Constitution said, we would all be better off. We have much greater matters to consider than what one worthless politician said about another. Small men with a lot of power are always a danger. Let's do what we can in the upcoming election to change the faces of our representatives.

We rarely think people have good sense unless they agree with us.

Monday Madness

Three great reasons for making sure this guy is constitutionally qualified to continue in the office. I know he is not qualified by reason of experience or common sense, but that doesn't seem to matter much these days. I just hope some of the members in our legislative branch will join in requesting the judicial branch to do its job.

Is This Worth Saving?

This picture of a happy family has faded into the hype and feeding frenzy of the paparazzi and a populace hungry for news of men's failures. How better to bolster your own self worth than to trash someone who obviously has it all. Given what I have learned about Tiger Woods through all the media sources covering him through the years, I wondered how he would handle the fame and fortune with the type of spiritual philosophy he spoke of embracing. Fox commentator, Brit Hume suggested he might want to give Christianity a try in his efforts to regain his life. I appreciated Brit for suggesting this and I whole heartedly agree.

The national media is proud to espouse every other type of religion and belief system without much negative comment. They even do educational programs to enlighten those of us who are obviously not as well informed. Most programs outside of the "Christian" channels are designed to debunk the beliefs of Christians and to demean the importance of their role in the founding and maintaining of our way of government in the United States.

However, what man among the talking heads commenting incessantly on every aspect of our lives offered any hope to Tiger Woods? I'll tell you, Brit Hume. The rest sought every scrape of evidence available to trash the world's most successful sports figure. I say thank you Brit Hume.

Yesterday someone sent me a piece by Ann Coulter and I am going to share it here. She states the case very well.

IF YOU CAN FIND A BETTER DEAL, TAKE IT!

January 6, 2010

Someone mentioned Christianity on television recently and liberals reacted with their usual howls of rage and blinking incomprehension.

On a Fox News panel discussing Tiger Woods, Brit Hume said, perfectly accurately:

"The extent to which he can recover, it seems to me, depends on his faith. He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So, my message to Tiger would be, 'Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world."

Hume's words, being 100 percent factually correct, sent liberals into a tizzy of sputtering rage, once again illustrating liberals' copious ignorance of Christianity. (Also illustrating the words of the Bible: "How is it you do not understand me when I speak? It is because you cannot bear to listen to my words." John 8:43.)

In The Washington Post, Tom Shales demanded that Hume apologize, saying he had "dissed about half a billion Buddhists on the planet."

Is Buddhism about forgiveness? Because, if so, Buddhists had better start demanding corrections from every book, magazine article and blog posting ever written on the subject, which claims Buddhists don't believe in God, but try to become their own gods.

I can't imagine that anyone thinks Tiger's problem was that he didn't sufficiently think of himself as a god, especially after that final putt in the Arnold Palmer Invitational last year.

In light of Shales' warning Hume about "what people are saying" about him, I hope Hume's a Christian, but that's not apparent from his inarguable description of Christianity. Of course, given the reaction to his remarks, apparently one has to be a regular New Testament scholar to have so much as a passing familiarity with the basic concept of Christianity.

On MSNBC, David Shuster invoked the "separation of church and television" (a phrase that also doesn't appear in the Constitution), bitterly complaining that Hume had brought up Christianity "out-of-the-blue" on "a political talk show."

Why on earth would Hume mention religion while discussing a public figure who had fallen from grace and was in need of redemption and forgiveness? Boy, talk about coming out of left field!

What religion -- what topic -- induces this sort of babbling idiocy? (If liberals really want to keep people from hearing about God, they should give Him his own show on MSNBC.)

Most perplexing was columnist Dan Savage's indignant accusation that Hume was claiming that Christianity "offers the best deal -- it gives you the get-out-of-adultery-free card that other religions just can't."

In fact, that's exactly what Christianity does. It's the best deal in the universe. (I know it seems strange that a self-described atheist and "radical sex advice columnist faggot" like Savage would miss the central point of Christianity, but there it is.)

God sent his only son to get the crap beaten out of him, die for our sins and rise from the dead. If you believe that, you're in. Your sins are washed away from you -- sins even worse than adultery! -- because of the cross.

"He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross." Colossians 2:14.

Surely you remember the cross, liberals -- the symbol banned by ACLU lawsuits from public property throughout the land?

Christianity is simultaneously the easiest religion in the world and the hardest religion in the world.

In the no-frills, economy-class version, you don't need a church, a teacher, candles, incense, special food or clothing; you don't need to pass a test or prove yourself in any way. All you'll need is a Bible (in order to grasp the amazing deal you're getting) and probably a water baptism, though even that's disputed.

You can be washing the dishes or walking your dog or just sitting there minding your business hating Susan Sarandon and accept that God sent his only son to die for your sins and rise from the dead ... and you're in!

"Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9.

If you do that, every rotten, sinful thing you've ever done is gone from you. You're every bit as much a Christian as the pope or Billy Graham.

No fine print, no "your mileage may vary," no blackout dates. God ought to do a TV spot: "I'm God Almighty, and if you can find a better deal than the one I'm offering, take it."

The Gospel makes this point approximately 1,000 times. Here are a few examples at random:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23.

In a boiling rage, liberals constantly accuse Christians of being "judgmental." No, we're relieved.

Christianity is also the hardest religion in the world because, if you believe Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead, you have no choice but to give your life entirely over to Him. No more sexual promiscuity, no lying, no cheating, no stealing, no killing inconvenient old people or unborn babies -- no doing what all the other kids do.

And no more caring what the world thinks of you -- because, as Jesus warned in a prophecy constantly fulfilled by liberals: The world will hate you.

With Christianity, your sins are forgiven, the slate is wiped clean and your eternal life is guaranteed through nothing you did yourself, even though you don't deserve it. It's the best deal in the universe.

Do I look Goofy?

I don't know about you, but I wasn't impressed by any of the government double speak related to the failure of the intelligence system to operate in the case of the "my pants are on fire" bomber. I was not impressed at all by the President's promises to further study the problem. I guess they think we're Goofy. The problem starts with the pre-election failure of the Democrat vetting procedure, and the compromised nothingness of the Republican Party leadership. We have ignored all the tell tale signs of deception.

First the dual signed statements of the Democrat Party as to the vetting of their presidential and vice presidential candidates. One left out completely the statement as to the candidates meeting the basic qualifications. This I'm sure was done to cover their collective butts in case someone made an early challenge.

Then there is the plethora of information about the ties president Obama has to not only the radical left, but also to the religion of Islam and its leaders. His education and political career is directly tied to people friendly to the radical factions of Islam. He fails to show proper respect to the American flag. He bows to foreign leaders hostile to America. He fails to acknowledge the war we are engaged in with the Islamic jihadists, and he prays with his fellow Muslims while denying that the U. S. is a Christian nation. He apologizes for the policies of the United States at every opportunity. Obama downplays the more frequent incidents of individual terrorism and tries to divert our attention from the obvious negative results of his lack of action against these terrorists. He drags his feet on military action against the Muslims with whom we are at war in Iraq and Afghanistan. How much do we have to see? He talks of transparency, but hides everything about his past. He has gutted U. S. Intelligence and Security agencies and done everything he can to insure that the war prisoners we have already captured are of no further intelligence value. His attorney general is setting up his former law partners, who represent a number of these low lifes, with a big payday at the expense of the U. S. taxpayers.

Finally, a representative with some guts. I hope we have some success. The single most evident reason for our more frequent encounters with the cowardly soldiers of Islam is seated in the Oval office at the White House. Until we unseat this closet jihadist, we will have no real measure of security.

Deal Challenges Obama’s Eligibility

FIRST TIME IN U.S. HISTORY THAT A SITTING PRESIDENT’S ELIGIBILITY QUESTIONED BY MEMBER OF CONGRESS

by P. Patriot

Nathan Deal, U.S. Representative for Georgia, is running for Georgia Governor in 2010.

(Jan. 5, 2010) — The Post & Email can publicly confirm that on the first of December, last, U.S. Congressman Nathan Deal (GA-R) challenged the eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of the U.S. presidency.

Todd Smith, Chief of Staff for Representative Nathan Deal of the United States House of Representatives serving Georgia’s 9th district, has confirmed today that Deal has sent a letter to Barack Hussein Obama requesting him to prove his eligibility for the office of President of the United States of America. The letter was sent electronically the first of December 2009 in pdf format, and Mr. Smith said that Representative Deal has confirmation from Obama’s staff that it has been received. The letter did not have additional signatories. It originated solely from Representative Deal.

Now, what does this mean? This is probably the first time in 233 years of American history that a sitting member of the House of Representatives has officially challenged the legitimacy of a sitting president….one full year into his term.

This forever changes the public discourse.

Even if the putative president ignores the challenge, he cannot hide from it, because by doing so he admits his guilt through silence. The question has to be asked near and far, why would a president who has promised greater transparency than any previous administration pay upwards of $2,000,000 of taxpayer money to hide documents that could resolve the matter once and for all time for the cost of $20.00. He has publicly admitted on more than one occasion that his father was NOT an American citizen. This alone disqualifies him from eligibility based on Article 2, Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the Constitution, and consequently makes him a usurper.

Representative Deal, understanding full well the magnitude and gravity of the situation and recognizing that it places our country in a national security crisis, has rightfully confronted the issue head-on. The ramifications are so serious that all laws signed by a putative president are null and void, and soldiers sent into war under his command can be tried as war criminals.

Representative Deal is not a “Birther”; rather, he is a “Truther”; one of the millions of others who have been seeking irrefutable proof for over a year and a half!

Not a single lawsuit to date has been decided on the merits of the case, with numerous cases yet to be resolved or dismissed.

Never seen them before in my life....

ANYBODY HERE LOOK FAMILIAR?

I knew there had to be a “Paul Harvey” version to this story. See the white guy in the white suit? Now see the blond in the white dress? See the guy in the middle…hmmm-m-m. This picture was taken June 9, 2005. It seems Obama has known these two phonies for awhile, at least from the time he was a Senator.. They’re getting all the press now as being “party crashers” and the secret service is taking the fall. Funny how this hasn't come out in the press, don'tcha think?

No wonder the couple who crashed Obama’s State dinner last week keep insisting they were invited guests. They know Barry from way back when he was still an Illinois Senator. Is Obama trying to throw the Secret Service under the bus?

Tareq and Michaele Salahi snapped the pic above with Obama at a “Rock The Vote” event on June 9, 2005 (also attended by John McCain…with whom the Salahi’s also took a pic). McCain won an award for his work on campaign finance reform. Obama won an award for “forming a multiracial coalition in winning his seat.”

Michaele Salahi is getting quite a ribbing in the press for lying about being a Redskins cheerleader, but Tareq is the more interesting of the two to me. He has ties to Palestinian terrorists. Tareq is a board member of the ATFP- American Task Force on Palestine , which has quickly scrubbed it’s site of the fact. Thank the Lord for Google cache.

And just who are the ATFP? The ATFP has ties to Chicago , ties to Muslim radicals, ties to Hamas, and ties to Saudi Wahhabists. It is arguably the American wing of Hamas. The group’s co-founder is Rashid Khalidi, the guy purported to have helped finance Obama’s Harvard education and who was also instrumental in getting Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak at Columbia University . During the Beruit war, Khalidi was a PLO spokesperson. After the war, he came back to teach at the University of Chicago . He is a virulent critic of Israel, and [was] a strong supporter of Fatah terrorist Yassar Arafat. Obama has referred to Khalidi as someone who challenges his “own biases.”

Why do the same dubious tentacles seem to continually surround Obama?

The fact that the ATFP is scrubbing information on Salahi from their website suggests possible damage control coordination between the ATFP and the White House. If the ATFP was acting independently, there would be no reason to scrub Salahi’s name from their site. It looks like Salahi was an invited guest to the dinner, that he was “outed,” and the administration had to come up with a rational excuse for his presence. Now the Salahis want to sell their story…they’re a little broke these days, but they still live VERY high on the hog.

The Secret Service has already apologized for the incident, but they may clear their names if the Salahis start singing... If someone with ties to the American wing of Hamas can get face to face with the President without the Secret Service realizing it…that is a major security lapse. However, if Obama’s people knowingly allowed Salahi in and are now throwing the Secret Service under the bus to cover themselves, that would be a major scandal. Some in Congress are calling for an investigation.

Something is VERY fishy in this White House,

AND THE SMELL GETS WORSE EVERY DAY!
