Happy Birthday Aaron

My little man turns four today.  He keeps Pappy busy in the afternoons when he gets up from his nap.  The vague pronoun reference is appropriate here as we both nap in the afternoon.  We plan to drive to Port Isabel, Texas on the mainland side of South Padre Island and catch a pirate ship for an afternoon of swashbuckling adventure.  Zeus, the boxer, is not going with us on this trip.  I think there is supposed to be a ceremony to toss all remaining pacifiers into the bay.  I'm sure Greenpeace will attempt to sink the ship if we make an attempt.

Seems like only yesterday I was driving hard to reach the Valley.  He beat us here by a few hours.  I was able to hold him in the palm of my hand then.  Now his legs dangle past my knees when I am called on to lift him from his booster seat.  I'm sure it won't be long before the roles are reversed.  Have a very happy birthday Aaron.  Bebe and Pappy love you very much.  I hope I can find my pirate hat.

  4. Give him a hug from GMJ and a big boy yea for tossing the binkie overboard. Naps are good, only that close to the border can't it be a siesta? It sounds so much big boyish.
But hey, I'm just a Yankee.

This is probably the first time you've gotten a birthday greeting from une vache!

  7. Oh how sweet. Loved the reveling in memories and the pic in my brain of his legs dangling past yours. It does go by fast. Also loved the pic- all kids need a dog.
